Julie Craig MBA, PGCE – Company Director & Trainer

Julie Craig is the sole Director of AFE (Solutions) Ltd and takes an active role in helping to improve the local area. Julies roles include being a Councillor on Skelton Parish Council and Chair of Skelton Industrial Estate Business Forum. These roles ensure Julie regularly chairs public meetings and aims to ensure the best solutions and decisions are made for all involved.
Julie has a number of managerial qualifications and has taught business related subjects to adults of all ages and intellectual abilities. Julies qualifications include Masters in Enterprise (MBA), PGCE and City and Guilds 7306 Teacher Training qualifications along with A1 assessing unit. Julie has also completed her Certificate in Advanced Professional Development (People Management). She values the importance of continuous education and in July 2014 completed the IOSH Managing Safely Qualification which resulted in AFE (Solutions) Ltd being able to deliver Health & Safety & Fire Safety training.
Julie is also a Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency Advanced Driving Instructor and Train-the-Trainer. She therefore has an in-depth knowledge of driver awareness and road safety aspects which are used to great advantage when delivering the Driver CPC courses.
Julie was runner up in North East Business Women Entrepreneur of the Year and Won Best New Business Award. She was also presented with an Award from Pertemps Employment Alliance for her Contribution to Society.
Charlene Cowell – Office Manager
Charlene has worked at AFE (Solutions) Ltd since January 2011 and is responsible for the day to day running of the office. Charlene also acts as coordinator for Driver CPC. Charlene holds her NVQ Level 3 Management which is of great assistance when assisting all our clients.
Sue Esplin – Office Administrator
First Aid & Paediatric Trainer. Assessor
Sue has worked at AFE (Solutions) Ltd since May 2015 and assists Charlene with the day to day running of the office. Sue also acts as coordinator for Qualsafe Awards. She is also planning on expanding her skills and assisting with the Training and Assessing of Courses since completing her Level 3 Education and Training last year.
ASSOCIATES
Adrian Beadnell – Trainer
First Aid, Paediatric, Manual Handling, Health & Safety, Fire Safety & Driver CPC Trainer. Assessor
Adrian has a number of managerial qualifications and taught business related subjects at both college and university level. As regards teaching, Adrian has both PGCE and City and Guilds 7306 professional training qualification along with D32 and D33 assessing units. He is continually developing his expertise and has recently completed the IOSH Managing Safely Qualification.
Adrian is a fully qualified First Aid Trainer. Adrian taught classes in the community and within local industry on behalf of St. John Ambulance between 1984 and 2004. He also gained his long-service medal for 25 years service, presented by this organisation when he retired as a divisional officer. He then went on to teach First Aid at Work for Aycliffe Occupational Health Services Ltd.
Adrian also holds both his PCV licence & Class 1 LGV Licence
Bob Esplin – Trainer
First Aid, Paediatric, Manual Handling & Driver CPC Trainer. Assessor
Bob has been a fully qualified Paramedic since 1993. He has spent many years teaching within St John Ambulance on a voluntary basis and decided to make a move into the more formal training sector in May 2015 when he joined AFE (Solutions) Ltd on a part-time basis following completion of his Level 3 Award in Education & Teaching.
Stuart Dack – Trainer
First Aid, Paediatric, Manual Handling & Driver CPC Trainer. Assessor
Stuart has been employed as a Paramedic by a local NHS Ambulance Trust for the last 26 years. He worked on the ambulance service for the previous 8 years on emergency work. As a qualified Paramedic he has to keep up to date with his HPC registration, which includes making sure he is up to date with new legislation, new training methods, and up to date medical techniques. Stuart has also qualified as a Paramedic Mentor and gained the Adult Teaching Certificates NVQ 7306 together with the D32, D33 and D34 modules.
Stuart was also an instructor with the British Red Cross for many years. His interests include computers, walking, gardening and reading.
